Item Description

A most interesting and showy combination specimen from the well-known September Mine at Madan. The striking mound of splendent galena cubes is associated with both quartz and calcite. Sparkly, sugary, microcrystalline quartz and galena compose the matrix. The more spectacular tan, nubby calcite preferentially coats the galena crystals with great visual effect. Fine combination material from this locale. Ex National Museum of Natural History - Sofia.
