Sweetwater Mine galena and calcite specimens are an American classic and this is a very aesthetic example. The striking, splendent, 3.1 x 2.0 x 1.8 cm, elongated, galena monolith is beautifull accented by the 2.1 cm, amber calcite crystal below. The monolith is complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only the two, out of sight corners on the back being gently bruised. The form of the galena is very imposing. Ex Schlichter Collection.
