Item Description
A fine showy Galena from the famed Sweetwater Mine featuring several sharp, lustrous, silvery-grey metallic cubic measuring up to 3.0 cm on edge, aesthetically sitting on matrix. Minor metallic iridescent golden Chalcopyrite along with tiny white rhombs of Dolomite can be seen on the piece as well. The Galena crystals have higher than average luster for the material, and they are all largely in great condition with no major damage I can see. Small octahedral modifications on the corners of the cubic Galena crystals makes for a great accent to this beautiful and classic specimen from one of the most well-known mines in the US.
