Impressive large and unusual galena "brick" from Missouri's famous Sweetwater Mine - still a world class classic find, 50-years later! The sharp, complete all-around crystal has brilliant metallic-gray luster. The top face of the brick is beautifully complemented and accented with pretty light variable iridescence, depending on the bright light angle and incidence. In excellent shape overall. A ding is noted along one top edge and modest bruising is noted on the opposite top edge. These are certainly minimal detractions to this imposed large galena crystal. Hefty lead ore at 2366 grams or 5.2 pounds mass. Classic and unusually shaped large galena crystal from the noted locale. Hard to value today as you do not see them so much, for sale, except out of old collections.
