Item Description

Mineral specimens of any variety are RARE from this obscure and possibly extinct North Carolina locality. Gahnite is a member of the Spinel Group and is probably a zinc-rich spinel. A lustrous, sharp, 1.1 cm, black octahedron with STUNNING areas of neon-green gemminess (under bright light) is aesthetically set on the top of granular quartz. Older material, prior to the1970s.
