Item Description
Camel-colored Gageite is a rare hydrous Mn silicate, and this exceptionally large (almost 8 cm), friable plate is classic for the species with its 'felted' habit. Within the Gageite are gemmy, quite lustrous, elongated rhombs of Calcite up to .6 cm. This is an exceptional and highly representative specimen of a relatively rare mineral that is often found only in small amounts.
