Item Description

A very rare seen association specimen from India featuring chrome-green colored Fuchsite (a chromium-bearing variety of Muscovite Mica) in foliated groups covering very dark blue (nearly black) colored prismatic Kyanite crystals and a small amount of pinkish-red colored Corundum (Ruby). Hard to photograph and better in person. A Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#7928). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
