Item Description

A large, sharp, attractive, very well-formed, classic Freibergite specimen from this well known mine in San Juan County. This specimen was a gift from the well known Colorado collector Hall Miller to Rich Kosnar in late 1979. It shows excellent tetrahedral form with excellent striated faces. This piece was analzyed by Hal Miller, and it is indeed Freibergite, not Tennanite or Tetrahedrite. This material is not easy to find on the market, and for the size and quality, it is more than a reference specimen of this highly sought after silver-bearing species.
