Item Description

Freibergite specimens from the Animas Mine are uncommon, and quality specimens are actually quite rare. One of those rare finds, this showy and very rich silver ore specimen is composed entirely of Freibergite and Pyrite. The Freibergites are splendent, silvery-gray, and the crystals reach to 1.4 cm on edge (mixed in with pyrite). These well-formed tetrahedrons are highly lustrous, and they are associated with super-sharp Pyrite octahedrons to 1.6 cm on edge. Old-time, classic sulfosalt material, this is a very rich and excellent Freibergite specimen for any worldwide locality. A superb, aesthetic combination piece.
