Item Description

Superb thumbnail of Franklinite from the Co-TYPE LOCALITY of the Sterling Mine in the famous Franklin Mining District. The main octahedral crystal is about 1.2 cm, and it has the form, black color, and attractive, bright, sub-metallic luster that Franklinite is known for. Self-collected in 1991 by Chet Lemanski, both the aesthetics and quality of the mineral characteristics are excellent. It is a rare competitive level franklinite thumbnail specimen from the old mine zone, here.
