Item Description
This very rich, colorful and sculptural large specimen hosts three RARE Type Locality vanadates from this extinct sedimentary uranium deposit closed in 1999 (MINDAT). Sharp, juicy, orthorhombic, orange to yellow Francevillite crystals, a uranyl vanadate, are festooned on the piece. Scattered glassly lathes of Chervetite, a Pb-vanadate, to 7 mm are nicely scattered on the piece. Minute wine-red crystals of Mounanite, an ultra-rare Pb-Fe vanadate, known from only two localities worldwide are scattered on the piece according to the Robert Nowakowski Collection label.
