Item Description
A fine quality, complete fossilized limb cast of a tree from near Burns, Oregon. The outer "rind" of the piece is intact, and shows detailed surface striations. The end of the piece has been polished revealing the dark cryptocrystalline Quartz (Agate?) which as completely replaced the preexisting wood. The label accompanying the piece states that it was some kind of species of Willow, Alder or Asper. Specimen weight is 90.8 grams.
