Item Description
The polished face of this large fossilized sycamore tree limb has gorgeous artistic form with the contrasting colors of the agate replacement, radiating tendrals and columns and striking edge forms. The fossilized bark is very well preserved. The species is Platanus Wyomingensis, Eocene in age (45 MMYBP). Parachute Creek Member of the Green River Formation. Preserved leaves are much more common than tree limbs. You could make 12, 4.0 cm slabs from this. 578 grams or 1.3 pounds mass.
