Item Description

A fine, completely fossilized ammonite from the Upper Jurassic Period of Mexico when dinosaurs roamed the earth. The lustrous fossil is fully inflated, tightly coiled and is densely ribbed. The noted bruising is certainly only a modest detraction to this well-preserved fossil. The species is Kossmatia victoris. Kossmatia is common in Mexico, but specimens are RARE on the market. Ex Robert Nowakowski Collection.
