Item Description

Multi-crystal peridot specimens are uncommon from Sapat Gali. Most pieces are loose single crystals. This is an impressive and aesthetic small cabinet parallel-growth cluster of classic lime-green crystals with striking sharp gemmy chisel/wedge terminations. The remainder of the the highly lustrous crystals are translucent. The piece is in excellent condition, with only contacting on the sides noted. Primary production was from 1994 until about 2010, with very little new material in the last 10 years. Sapat Gali peridot specimens are certainly among the finest examples of the species in the world. See the 2020 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 51, No. 6. An outstanding multi-crystal small cabinet peridot with classic rich green color, gemminess and fine form. Fairly valued at $5000-6000.
