Peridot from this very high alpine location in the mountains has redefined specimens of the species, and this is an exceptoinal miniature cluster whereas most are only single loose crystals. Specimens do not come out now as much as in the past, particularly with such sharp and gemmy form. Four crystals in parallel growth are highlighted by a 3.5 cm tall, slightly lustrous and very translucent, dark apple green, peridot crystal. When backlit, the color is a rich apple geen. Valued $3500, and old Obodda dealer stock from a decade or more ago.
