Fluoro-richterite on Calcite w/ Phlogopite

A sculptural and classic combination small cabinet from this well-known extinct Wilberforce area locale. The world's finest Fluoro-richterite specimens, a rare Amphibole Group species, easily come from this area. A 3.0 cm, sharply terminated, lustrous crystal dominates this rich and showy piece. The large terminated crystal on the lower right is 3.5 cm, with many other smaller crystals and crystal sections on the front and back adding richness. The 3.2 cm cluster of pearlescent reddish-brown phlogopite plates on the lower left is a fine accessory. The starkly contrasting massive calcite matrix fluoresces pink. An excellent and showy combination example from the locale.
