Item Description
Fluornatromicrolite is an ultra-rare complex oxide and is a member of the Microlite Group. A lustrous, 5 mm, green crystal is jauntily embedded in the pegmatite matrix of orthoclase, cleavelandite and lepidolite. Another, much smaller crystal is nearby. The species is not published yet; publication delayed because of discussions on a new nomenclature scheme for its group (see Elements October 2007, p. 360). (MINDAT). This excellent thumbnail is from the Type Locality and Josef Vajdak Collection.
