Item Description
Three, sharp, gemmy to translucent, lustrous, golden-yellow to honey-yellow, fluornatromicrolite octahedrons, to 9 mm, are aesthetically set in the coated matrix of pearlescent, light pink, muscovite plates. Fluornatromicrolite is a rare complex Ta-oxide with fluorine found in granite pegmatites. One end of a smaller octo is dinged, but is certainly only a modest detraction to this showy and fine combination rarity from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb valued this piece at $500, more than five years ago.
