Item Description
Numerous interlocking medium purple Fluorite cubes with frosted faces comprise this small cabinet piece from Pakistan. The Fluorites are from 0.7 to 2.2 cm on edge, and speaking of edges, although the faces are frosted, the edges are all transparent and really show the purple color on the interior! There are some 1 to 2 mm, brick red inclusions of an unidentified mineral just beneath the surface of the crystals. There is some white, coarsely granular Calcite at the bottom of the piece for contrast. We still are not sure what the little color specks are, but bought one of these anyhow to test it a few years ago and never figured it out. It could be hematite, or something more rare.
