Fluorite with Stibnite (Hefendehl Coll.) - rare classic combination find

The Kadamzhay antimony mine in Kyrgyzstan produced these wonderful combination pieces for a brief period in the early 1990s, famous for a few years among collectors and then disappearing into legend so few today have seen them! Gemmy and lustrous, pale purple Fluorites richly and aesthetically accent several, long, divergent Stibnite crystals on this attractive specimen. The Fluorites are between 3 and 5 mm in size and are clustered along the length of the metallic gray Stibnite crystals that are up to 9.5 cm long in the main spray and between 1.5 and 3 cm for the small crystals growing randomly that are adroitly set at the top, also mostly covered by Fluorite. A very fine, aesthetic specimen from this obscure mine we rarely see on the market anymore. From our memory, this would be one of the larger examples! At the time, they came out through KARP and Fersman Museum, and pieces like this were over $1000 even in the 1990s. RARE combo!
