Fluorite with Stannite, Quartz and Pyrite

A beautiful association specimen from the famous Yaogangxian Mine featuring a 4.6 cm "stacked" group of gemmy, soft purple and green colored cubic Fluorite sitting on a matrix composed of nearly solid Stannite, which plays host to prismatic white Quartz crystals, sparklingly metallic, pale golden colored Pyrite and a handful of scattered silvery-grey Arsenopyrite crystals. The piece is in great shape all around and looks beautiful from several angles. You get such a different perspective on the piece depending where you look. The Yaogangxian Mine is one of the truly iconic Chinese localities thanks in part to the fact that it has not only produced superb crystallized examples of ore minerals, but they are often associated with gemmy colorful Fluorite crystals, making for some dynamite and memorable pieces.
