Fluorite with Sphalerite and Geocronite

This piece comes to us from a recent find at the Milpo Mine in Peru. This discovery has not only produced Fluorites with a VIVID green hue, but they also have some attractive associated species. This is a lovely miniature sized specimen featuring gemmy, sharp, well-formed, cuboctahedral crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 1.2 cm across showing a saturated-green hue, associated with black Sphalerite crystals, sitting on a matrix of grey metallic Geocronite. There are even some little Quartz crystals on the piece, including one beautiful doubly-terminated example that has a semi-stepped almost "scepter"-esque growth to it. The color of the Fluorite is beautiful, and glows with color when backlit. The rare Geocronite matrix is was really makes the piece special as this rare lead antimony sulfosalt is hard to find in such rich examples like this, let alone with beautiful Fluorite!
