Item Description

Despite the fact that there are only a handful of minerals found at the Elmwood mine, they are among the most recognizable minerals in the world. The classic purple Fluorites are a favorite among collectors, and it's easy to see why. This piece features a few sharp, rather lustrous, intense royal purple color, cubic crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 2.0 cm on edge associated with deep golden-brown Sphalerite and minor pale yellow color Barite. A classic example of an Elmwood Fluorite. Good quality, and the only notable damage is on the back. Very attractive and getting harder to find on the market these days.
