Fluorite with Sphalerite

We were lucky to be involved in the original exports of the first green fluorites out of this mining district, back in 2020; and have been able to obtain much of what was found since that time - though not all. These specimens have leaped into the world fluorite market at high values, and pieces like this have always been rare and desired by collectors. This 4 cm crystal has a riveting, neon green, intense color that is hard to convey by video. It is a shocking color in person, and can be seen from across a room. It is almost a uranium green color, really. Stong, saturated, and intense. The crystal is large, and a sharp octahedron, and gemmy to translucent throughout. It has a fine association at the base with sphalerite so that the black balances and contrasts to the green (note: that actually could be world class geocronite, but each specimen has to be checked individually by analysis, and some clusters have mixed sulfides). Examples in this size and quality with neon color and any association, have been resold at shows now, quite easily, for five figures. We have seen it. However, we are bringing you a 5-10k specimen direct from the mine, and letting it go at auction! For the size, a large miniature or smallish small cabinet size, this is such a nice balance, and is a strong and competitive example of these modern finds of 2020-2023. We would normally be proud to retail such a piece for $7500-10k. Stunning luster, stunning color, balance...it has it all for the size. As a bonus, this material does fluoresce.
