Fluorite with Quartz, Pyrite and Dolomite

Item Description

This a very sparkly combination specimen from old 1990s finds in the Shangbao Mine in China. The piece is bristling with numerous, milky to translucent groups of Quartz crystals from 1 to 2 cm in length beautifully accented with one prominent and a few other lustrous, transparent, medium green Fluorite cubes and well over a dozen, sharp, brassy yellow Pyrite cubes at one end of the piece. Cubic fluorite of this sharpness and color is rare from here, only seen long ago. The wealth of Quartz crystals glisten with any incident light due to their glassy luster and the tips of many are transparent. The lovely Fluorites add color and contrast to the piece nestled amongst the Quartz crystals. The metallic Pyrite cubes, to just over 1 cm, embellish the right side of this attractive combo piece and are adorned in places with small groups of ivory colored, and saddle-shaped Dolomite crystals. A very aesthetic combination specimen from this noted locale in excellent condition.
