Fluorite with Quartz

Vivid deep blue, translucent fluorite crystals are dramatically, preferentially, richly deposited on a sculptural large cluster of frosted quartz crystals with an interesting secondary overgrowth of small quartz crystals. The faces of the larger frosted fluorite cuboctahedrons have very interesting features, adding character. The crystals reach 2.2 cm across. The fluorites GLOW a gorgeous rich blue, when backlit. The bit of noted periphery wear is certainly only a modest detraction to this impressive and uncommon combination. These dramatic, interesting and colorful combinations are diagnostic to limited mid-2010s finds at the No. 4 Mine, with none since.
