Fluorite with Quartz

Item Description

What a wonderful miniature specimen from Erongo featuring a gorgeous combination of Fluorite and Quartz. The Fluorite cubes are not only incredibly gemmy, sharp and lustrous, but they show strong variation of colors ranging from golden to soft green to a light blue, but perhaps the most striking color(s) is the glowing purple and reddish-purple tones that seem to just jump out when the piece is rotated in the light. The Fluorites are contrasted by almost chalky white prismatic Quartz crystals giving the piece depth and intrigue. It should be noted that the Quartz crystals are more of a colorless / translucent hue on the terminations, but the prisms are stark white. The largest Fluorite measures 1.0 cm on edge, and for the most part, there is very little damage to be seen. It's obviously contacted on the back where it was removed from the pocket wall, but it's in great shape overall. Very attractive in person, and a great piece for any fan of Fluorite or Namibian material. This piece is from a prominent collection from the Midwest that we purchased over the summer.
