Fluorite with Quartz

Item Description

A beautiful, sharp, gemmy, multi-colored, cubic phantomed crystal of Fluorite from the El Hammam Mine in Morocco. Many sharp, lustrous, doubly-terminated bi-pyramidal accenting Quartz crystals and small metallic Pyrite spheroids on the top of the piece make for a great touch. This mine has produced a great range of colors of Fluorite specimens over the years, and this particular piece has a beautiful golden-honey color with variations of warm hues (including purple) in the thin phantom lines. I'm told that the Fluorites from this mine have an unusually high REE (rare earth element) content, which might explain the wide range of colors.
