Item Description

One of few Fluorites with any associated minerals that I have handled from this area. Most collectors missed out on these beautiful South African fluorites, because not many came out, and they were expensive. They have a quite unique green color that is distinctive from Fluorites from other localities, and sharp octahedral form. This small cabinet specimen is a bit crude, but hosts several rich green color octahedral crystals of Fluorite which are associated with small nearly colorless Quartz crystals. A few of the Fluorites have a secondary Fluorite overgrowth on the corners of the octahedrons, creating and interesting effect. A decent reference specimen with an uncommon association from this well known locality.
