Item Description

These impressive and iconic Fluorites were immediately recognized as some of the best green Fluorites from any world locality, when they first hit the market, which is saying something since Fluorite is one of the most popular and collectible mineral species in the world as it occurs in virtually any color you can think of. Fluorite is also often found in big, showy display pieces with a great number of beautiful crystal habits, so it's not easy to find pieces from new discoveries that truly stand out. These fantastic and highly displayable pieces Riemvasmaak started coming out in the early 2000s, and they have a quite unique green color that is distinctive from Fluorites from other localities, along with sharp octahedral form. For all you collectors who missed out on these Fluorites, this is a great chance to pick up a fine display specimen of this lovely material. This piece features many excellent, strong green color, gemmy octahedral crystals with a drusy thin coating of white Quartz crystals in a few spots. The largest Fluorite measures 5.7 cm across at its longest dimension. If you backlight the piece, you can see the crystals have excellent internal transparency. No major damage on the top/front display side of the piece, just some minor imperfections.
