Item Description

Densely intergrown, translucent, light lilac fluorite cubes with satin luster faces are festooned on the front of the sculptural, large, 3-dimensional plate. The cubes reach about 9 mm and the scattered clusters of contrasting white druzy quartz are fine complement and accessory. Purple LW UV fluorescence. Ex Chet Lemanski Collection No. 02259Cl and acquired in 1991. Chet is a well-known New Jersey collector and has been a Board member and Vice President of the Franklin Mineral Museum. Showy and rich large example of this fluorite varietal from the famous and extinct Cacilia Mine, that operated intermittently from 1933 to 1975.
