Item Description
A wonderfully colorful French Fluorite cabinet sized plate from the 2018 finds at the abandoned Four de Cluzel Mine located in the Peyrebrune area. These fluorites are known for their translucent to transparent rich yellow color and high luster - exceptionally glassy! The partial dusting with water-clear sugary quartz crystals is an attractive accessory. There is some edge contacting associated with the extraction but this does not detract from the main display face. It also has a brilliant purple fluorescence. This limited find is highly desirable for its color and luster. They are considered to be among the best French fluorites overall for the color and sparkle, and they are hard to come by on the market.
