Item Description

Most people don't think of Fluorite when it comes to Moroccan minerals, but the El Hammam Mine, has produced some excellent examples over the years. These specimens feature good sized crystals with multiple colors seen. I'm told that the Fluorites from this mine have an unusually high REE content, which might explain the wide range of colors. This piece hosts a predominant, gemmy, soft green colored cubic crystal of Fluorite measuring 9 mm with additional little Fluorites that are nearly colorless in hue. The Fluorites are partially coated by drusy Quartz and associated with metallic Pyrite spheroids, sitting on a layer of massive Quartz matrix.
