Item Description
The famous Bingham Mine in New Mexico has produced some iconic Fluorite specimens over the years. Some would argue that it might be the most well-known Fluorite producer in the entire state. The Fluorites actually change colors from a vivid blue in sunlight to more of a purple hue indoors. This piece is loaded with sharp, well-formed, lustrous, GEM QUALITY cubes measuring up to about 6 mm on edge, associated with metallic steel-grey Galena crystals measuring up to 1.0 cm on edge on matrix. It's not common to find such glassy and WATER-CLEAR Fluorites like this from this mine, they typically have more of a frosted appearance on the surface. There are some small contacted areas, so the piece is not pristine, but it's still a very nice combo piece and it GLOWS with color.
