Item Description

A fine quality and beautiful specimen association specimen from Naica featuring fine quality, very gemmy, pale green, stacked or "built up" groups of cuboctahedral Fluorite associated with silvery-grey metallic Galena along with black Sphalerite, metallic golden Pyrite and accenting white Calcite. The top/display side of the specimen has no major damage that I can find. The largest Fluorite group measures about 1.2 cm. If you're a fan of worldwide Fluorites or specimens from Naica / Mexico, this is a fantastic old piece dating back to the 1960s-1970s era for your collection. Valued at $1,500.
From the collection of Robert (Bob) Reynolds and formerly from the collection of James B. Thompson. Bob was a well-known fossil and mineral expert and former Curator of Earth Sciences at the San Bernardino County Museum in California. The rare phyllomanganate-chromate species Reynoldsite was named in his honor in 2011.
