Item Description
A gorgeous three-dimensional display specimen from Huanzala featuring many sharp, gemmy / translucent, soft purple colored cuboctahedral crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 1.3 cm which are associated with RARELY seen prismatic grey-black crystals of Enargite measuring up to 1.7 cm long. Minor Calcite and Pyrite can be seen on the piece as well. Virtually all of the Fluorite crystals are pristine, though I can see a few small imperfections here and there. The Enargites are not all perfect, but there are many excellent crystals on the piece. The combination of Fluorite with Engarite is NOT easy to find from Peru, and I can only remember seeing a handful of them over the years. A great piece for any fan of Fluorites, sulfides or Peruvian minerals. Priced in the inventory at $1,250. The piece comes from the collection of Art Soregaroli, and the label only says it's from "Peru", but the uncommon purple color (for Peru) and modified habit is almost certainly from Huanzala.
