Item Description
Fluorites from all around Asturias, Spain are regarded among some of the most beautiful examples of the species from anywhere. This miniature specimen is from the famed Moscona Mine, which is best known for its fantastic golden-yellow Fluorite crystals. What sets this piece apart from most I've seen is that the crystals are larger, measuring up to 1.2 cm on edge, which may not be big on a worldwide scale, but it's very good sized for Moscona. These textbook cubes are very sharp, well-formed and gemmy, bordering on WATER CLEAR in areas. The associated pearly white Dolomite rhombs is a classic association for the locality. The front / display side of the piece is undamaged, and I love how the Fluorites are intergrown to create a beautiful "tumbling dice" effect. A very good specimen of these well-known Fluorites. Valued at $700-$850 . From the worldwide collection of Tom Campbell. Tom is a mineralogist and mineral collect who works with us here at The Arkenstone.
