Fluorite included by Pyrite, with Dolomite

Item Description

Shangbao is one of the most famous mines in the world for fluorite, and one of the perhaps three most famous of all Chinese fluorite locations (along with Yaogangxian and Huanggang now). This is a style we saw in the 1990s, obviously a very old specimen from the early days of Chinese mineral exports. It features gem gem gem (i.e. transparent!) crystals to 2 cm across, showing subtle phantoms and features within. The edges are modified, these are cuboctahedral crystals - classic, for this location. A gem of a specimen! NOTE - we almost forgot to mention, there is a SHARP inclusion of a pyrite crystal, perhaps 7-8 mm across, within the large and gemmy fluorite. You can look right into the largest fluorite face, look down, and see the sharp pyrite within! We just added a photo, although please note the tight focus and dark lighting used somehow amplifies the fluorite color a bit in photo, so the color is not as strong in person  - but the photo does show you the pyrite within.
