Fluorite with Dolomite

From the lesser know locality of Timahdit, Morocco, this excellent, small-cabinet Fluorite features well-formed, colorful octahedra on matrix. A cross between light blue and a light, sea-foam-green, the coloration is most attractive, and there is a subtle, yet distinct, purple zoning at the corners. All of the Fluorites are gemmy with a satin luster that creates a nice visual texture, and the largest crystal is about 2 cm tip-to-tip. The fluorescence is a classic and intense blue. This piece is so well-balanced and has a terrific aesthetic. With the colorful Fluorite octahedra placed right atop the matrix I can't look at it without immediately of a diamond-shaped version of the Great Pyramids. Truth be told, this is would be good Fluorite specimen for any location anywhere.
