Item Description

A nice association specimen from the Caecilia Mine featuring sharp, well-formed, translucent, pale greenish-yellow cubes of Fluorite with a coating of golden metallic Chalcopyrite along with compressed crystals of beige Calcite. The largest Fluorite cube measures 1.0 cm and the largest Calcite measures 6 mm across. Mostly a reference piece, but the combination of the three species from the Caecilia Mine is hard to find. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3430). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
