Item Description

An unusual and intriguing piece from Santa Eulalia featuring rarely seen pastel greenish-yellow crystals of Fluorite which are partially covered by cocoa brown scalenohedral Calcite crystals. The Fluorites are VERY gemmy, which nearly water clear clarity in areas. I've seen Fluorite with Calcite in plenty of instances from Santa Eulalia, this particular hue of Fluorite makes this piece more desirable for my taste. The largest Fluorite cube measures 1.0 cm on edge, and the longest Calcite crystal measures 2.3 cm. Very little damage to be seen, the only real roughness is around the periphery where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. If you collect Fluorite, Quartz or Mexican minerals, this is a perfect piece to add to your collection. Valued at $400 in the inventory.
