Fluorite with Calcite

This is a beautiful quality, gemmy multicolor sharp, lustrous cubic Fluorite from the classic Annabel Lee Mine. The main Fluorite cube has excellent "phantoming" with a golden core which ranges into a deep purple hue with a beautiful blue exterior. The piece is not 100% perfect, as the main crystal has a cleave on one corner, but the color looks beautiful when backlit. Hard to photograph, but we did our best, and it really does look better in person. Associated golden Calcite and reddish-brown Sphalerite can be seen as well. The piece was originally priced at $700 by the previous dealer, but probably more in my mind with the ever increasing value of southern Illinois material.
