Truly exceptional, these GEMMY, light lavender Fluorite cubes rest on a matrix of bright, highly lustrous, Sphalerite crystals. The Fluorites, which range up to 2.1 cm on edge, have rare and beautiful white frosted cores that are Baryte-included and cubic, following the form of the Fluorite. Some of the corners are modified, and the finely-stepped faces create a very attractive, 'watery' look to the luster. And if all that wasn't enough, the fluorescence is an outstanding and vivid purple. From the Gordonsville Mine, little brother to the great Elmwood Mine, this specimen is superb in its aesthetics. With the mines essentially closed, a piece of this quality should create tremendous interest. It has minor damage on a few edges but is generally in good condition. The barite-coated white phantoms within are one of the most rare and unique styles of Elmwood fluorite, and the clarity that lets you see through to them, is shocking. valued $1500-1800
