Fluorite with Baryte

Item Description

One look and you know it is Moscona yellow fluorite! This is classic material with lustrous, translucent intergrown cubes of golden amber Fluorite that are accented with contrasting clustered sprays of white Baryte blades that sparkly from every direction. The crystal faces of the Fluorite have a textured stepped growth appearance that are especially highlighted near the edge when backlit. The underside is covered in prismatic milky to clear calcite crystals. There is some bruising to a few Baryte clusters as well as edge wear to the bottom and sides. While the balance is a little tilted toward the Baryte, the glowing textured Fluorites more than make the piece a desirable addition to any collection. The Fluorites also have a fantastic zoned yellowish-white fluorescence. Ex. Kurt Hefendehl. Note this is unusual for the quantity of baryte present.
