Fluorite with Barite (superb classic material)

A fantastic large cabinet display specimen that is just loaded with dozens upon dozens of classic purple cubic Fluorite crystals associated with off-white colored Barite from the world famous locality at Berbes. The Fluorites show a combination of purple "cores" with blue coloring on the exterior edges of the cubes, creating fantastic "phantom" zoning. Some of the smaller Fluorites are virtually colorless, and resemble beautiful little "ice cubes". The largest Fluorite crystal on this piece measures 1.6 cm on edge and nearly all of them are pristine. The piece is crystallized all the way around, and only a few minor points of attachment can be seen, so it's nearly a complete "floater"! The Fluorites have excellent luster and internal gemminess as you can see from the photos. The Barites have formed in semi-"rosettes" comprising thin white bladed crystals. The largest Barite blade measures 4.2 cm long. These are some of the most desirable Fluorites in the world, and this one is great to view up close and at a distance in a display case. No matrix to speak of, but you don't need it since the piece is so showy and three-dimensional. Priced at $3,500 in the inventory.
