Item Description

An outstanding and uncommon, two-sided combination rib from this less well-known fluorite mine in Asturias. Glassy, water-clear, blue-gray fluorite crystals cover both sides. Most of the fluorites are cuboctahedrons with very unusual rounded faces and there are also a few cubes. The front is accented with white to gray barite blades prefentially dusted with sparkly marcasite crystals. An additional and very uncommon association are the two tan dolomite crystals. The back is strikingly different, being entirely rounded fluorite cuboctahedrons. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb valued this rare and fine Spanish combination specimen at $350, five or more years ago.
