Item Description

This is a rare example of the so-called barite crosses, a strange phantom effect formed by a barite crystal frozen inside of the fluorite. But before the barite was enclosed, it was stricken by some dissolution effect that makes it appear, on looking closely, like a small white cross shape, inside the fluorite. Subtle, and to some people something not worth noticing perhaps - but to the Elmwood or phantom afficionado this is a rare thing, indeed!
