Item Description

A showy display specimen filled with gemmy, golden-yellow cubic crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 6 mm on edge associated with attractive "flower"-like groups of bladed white Barite scattered about. Minor associated translucent Calcite rhombs can be seen on the underside of the piece. The Fluorite crystals are very sharp and lustrous. There is a small area on the lower left portion of the piece that appears to be a hollow opening or possibly a "cast" replacing a previous mineral species. I can't remember seeing anything quite like it before from Moscona. Overall the piece has very little damage, and displays beautifully on its own. An excellent small cabinet sized specimen from this well known Fluorite producing district.
