Fluorite with Amethyst

One of few Fluorites with any associated minerals that I have handled from this area. Most collectors missed out on these beautiful South African fluorites, because not many came out, and they were expensive. They have a quite unique green color that is distinctive from Fluorites from other localities, and sharp octahedral form. This large miniature specimen is crude, cleaved light green color, gemmy crystal of Fluorite with a layer of sparkling Amethyst crystals on one of the crystals faces. A decent reference specimen with a most uncommon association from this well known locality.
